Driver's Age
The minimum driver’s age is 22 years old and there’s no maximum limit.
No young driver surcharge applies.

Additional Drivers
Additional drivers are allowed for a fee of 250 DKK per rental. All additional drivers must meet the same license and age requirements as the main driver.

Driver’s License
Driver must present a full and valid driving license that should be valid with no major endorsements, and at least 1 year of driving experience is required.
Licenses issued in EU countries will be valid for driving, provided they are current and valid
An International Driver’s License (IDL) is mandatory only if the domestic license is not in the Roman/English alphabet and must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver Except EU countries drivers license.
Drivers from the US, Canada, and Australia do not need an IDL.

Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is included in your rental, with a damage excess liability up to 6000 DKK to 12000 DKK depending on the car category.
Theft Waiver (THW)
THW (Theft Waiver) are included in your rental, with a excess liability 6000 DKK.
Third Party Liability (TPL)
Included in the rental. Covers damage or injury caused to third parties with a maximum limit of 1,000,000 DKK.

SCDW - Optional Insurance
Optional insurance SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver) is available 149 DKK per day that will reduce the damage excess liability to 2500 DKK and 6000 DKK for premium cars.

Important Notice:
-In the event of any damage to the car, the renter is obliged to immediately inform GLH by calling +298 91 91 81.
-In the unfortunate event of an accident, the renter is obliged to pay the self-risk amount. In the case where cost of repair is less then self-risk, you will have an option to pay for the repair costs instead of the self-risk amount.
-The cost of the repair will be estimated on the basis of a calculation made in a system designed for costing car repairs by a professional repair shop.
-In the event of damage requiring a repair estimate, we may collect the entire deposit and hold it until the repair estimate is available. The time it takes to receive the estimate depends on the make of the vehicle/service and is beyond GLH's control, details are discussed on a case-by-case basis.
-If the deposit has been collected in full and the repair estimate is lower than the amount collected, the difference will be refunded to your card within 10 business days of receiving the estimate from the relevant service center.
-If the value of the repair exceeds the self risk amount, the excess will be the maximum amount up to which the lessor is liable for each damage. For each damage separately, which means that if there are several unrelated damages, the maximum liability applies to each damage separately.

Please remember that in the event of damage to the vehicle, any tunnel tolls must be paid separately. Tunnel tolls cannot be deducted from your self-risk amount.

-If the renter is not responsible for the accident, a written confirmation from the counter-part must be obtained and submitted. All material damages must be reported to the police, phone +298 351448. You are also oblige, to notify us immediately about the accident/damage under the number +298 91 91 81.
-If the car is damaged in a way that prevents further use, the rental period ends. In certain situations, e.g. when the damage was not the fault of the renter, GLH may provide another car until the end of the rental period. However, this is only possible if a car of the same class is available and with the approval of GLH - Final Rentals.
-The renter is obliged to cover the costs of repairing minor operational damages, such as repairing the wheel in case of its damage, purchase of a repair spray for the wheel, etc.
-Full liability in case of driving under influence of drinking, drugs, illegal driving, racing etc also third party damages he will pay.
-Please note that insurance does not cover tyre or rim damage, undercarriage damage, battery drain from negligence, or use of the wrong fuel.
-The customer confirms that he has received the vehicle in perfect condition and will return the vehicle in the same condition.
-The insurance does not apply in the event of drunk driving, driving under the influence of drugs or narcotics, or grossly negligent behaviour, e.g. driving on the left, failure to observe traffic regulations, speeding, damage caused by mishandling
-During the contract period, the customer is solely responsible for the vehicle, i.e. the rental company does not assume any responsibility for any dispute or litigation incurred by the customer
-In case of accidents, the customer is obliged to inform not only the rental company but also the competent police authority immediately. The customer may not remove the vehicle from the accident site without the authorisation of the rental company. He must refrain from any discussion or agreement and may not leave the vehicle without having taken the necessary measures.
-The lessor is authorised to withdraw the vehicle from the customer at any time and to consider the contract cancelled if the customer breaches any of these clauses
-Vandalism damages, tow truck and road assistance due to negligence are not included
-Insurance does not cover damages of any type caused by driving through rivers, lakes, beaches, mangroves, flooded roads or off-road. This will void any insurance coverage and the customer will be responsible for damages
-No coverage applies if the driver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the event
-No coverage applies when a rented vehicle is driven by an unauthorized driver
-CDW coverage does not cover vandalism damage, glass damage, flat tires, wheels, keys or accessories. In the event that the damage is caused by factors other than a collision with another vehicle, the customer must assume full responsibility for the damage to the rented vehicle
-Damages caused to the inside of the vehicle, including upholstery, loss of car keys or documents, license plates, emergency kits are not included in the insurance. Charges apply according to damages or loss and appraisal.
-All insurances are void in case you are breach of Traffic law, I.e fail to stop after accident, any illegal use of car, damage to mechanical parts due to negligence.
-The customer, regardless of nationality, declares that he agrees with all clauses of this contract.

Vehicle Condition
You must return the vehicle in the same condition as it was in when you received it, minus the normal wear and tear. We will charge you at their own rates for any excessive staining/soiling and/or for both internal and external damage (including strong smells). You are responsible for inspecting the vehicle upon pick-up/drop-off and for the cost of any new damage found at the end of your rental period. 

Off-road driving
Off-road driving is strictly prohibited. The vehicle may only be used on paved, public roads. Any damage resulting from off-road use will not be covered by insurance and will be fully charged to the customer.

Breakdown Assistance
Breakdown assistance is available free of charge 24/7. If the issue is due to a vehicle fault, a replacement vehicle will be provided within 24 hours.
If assistance is required due to customer fault, the repair costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Relevant contact details and roadside assistance procedures will be provided prior to the start of the rental. 

Other Fees:
-Airport surcharge is included.
- If the vehicle keys are lost or stolen, a fee will apply depending on the car category determned by the service provider.
-You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines, tolls and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to you plus any administrative expenses.
-In case of wrong fuel, the customer will pay for all repaid cost associated with it.
-If car is returned dirty 1500 DKK will apply depending on the level of cleaning required.
-Smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited. A mimimum fee of DKK 1500 will apply if smoking is detected and cost can go upto DKK 5000 determined by the cleaning service provider company.

Fuel Policy
Full to Full
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at pickup. If returned with less fuel, a charge will apply. Unused fuel is non-refundable.
Prepaid fuel available at a cost of 750 DKK per Rental.

Tax Rate
Tax is included in the rental price. 

Documentation and Payment Methods
-Our team will contact you to collect the documentation I.e Passport, drivers license and rental payment online right after the reservation is made.
-Rental payment must be made immediately after booking via online payment. After making a reservation, we will contact you at the email address provided.
-When you make a payment online, all card information is handled by QuickPay, which is a secure electronic payment method for Visa, Maestro and Mastercard. All card information is handled in concordance with the card organizations rules.
-To make payment, the card must have active 3D Secure verification. If your payment is declined check that 3D verification is activated on your card, please contact your bank to determine this.
-We do not require a credit card for payment or authorization of the deposit amount, a standard debit card with active 3D Secure is sufficient.
-Cards that can be used for payment and deposit authorization are Maestro, Mastercard and Visa.

Cancellation Policy
-You can cancel your reservation up to 72 hours before picking up your car for a fee of 5% of reservation value. This is the cost we incur for paying by card and refunding the funds.
-Cancellations made less than 72 hours before car collection are non-refundable.
-The date change is free of charge within the same class and price period, but it must be done at least 72 hours before picking up the car. In case of change to another class or price period, the difference in price will be charged. Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of the car on the new date.
-To cancel a reservation, please send an email with this information and your reservation details. Once the cancellation is confirmed, a refund of the reservation value, minus the cancellation fee, will be issued to the card used to make the payment. Refunds are issued within 10 business days of the cancellation confirmation. The exact date the funds are credited back to your account depends on the card issuer.

Deposit
The deposit amount of 6000 DKK will be authorized before the rental. You will receive an email with a link to authorize the deposit amount.
Cards must have active 3D Secure authorization.

Undersea Tunnels Subscribtion
Unlimited use of Vágar and Norðoyar Tunnels for 490 DKK per rental.
Tunnels costs:
The Norðoya and Vága sub-sea tunnels crossing costs 100 DKK, back and forth. This will be subtracted from your deposit. There is also, an option off one-off payment of 490 DKK, for which, you can have an unlimited access to both of these tunnels. Purchase of a subscription is possible only when making a reservation.

The Eysturoy tunnel is not included in the unlimited sub-sea tunnel option and it will be charged extra. The price for one way trip is: Strendur-Runavik 185 DKK, Runavik-Strendur 185 DKK, Runavik-Torshavn 245 DKK, Torshavn-Runavik 245 DKK and this will be subtracted from your deposit.
The new Sandoy tunnel is not included in the unlimited sub-sea tunnel option and it will be charged extra. The price for one way trip is 245 DKK and this will be subtracted from your deposit.

Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection not applicable.

Out of Hours
The location offers contact-less pickup and is available 24/7. Bookings and payment must be completed at least 24 hours prior to pickup.

One Way Drop-Off Charge
A one-way drop-off not applicable.

Cross Border and Ferry Travel
Cross-border and Ferry travel is permitted.

Grace Period
The car must be picked up within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time. If your arrival time changes, please contact us to reschedule your pickup.

For vehicle return: No grace period is allowed from the scheduled drop-off time. Car must be returned at the schueled time, in case if want to extend or change drop off time, please contact us in advance.

Refunds
No refunds are applicable in case bookings are canceled less than 72 hours prior pickup.

Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipment depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
